We are looking for an International Senior Account Manager who gets just as much energy from building long-term relationships as from closing sharp deals. Someone who truly understands the commercial side of the business, builds a strong network and spots opportunities in the market straight away and acts on them. In this role, you will focus specifically on the German-speaking market and work closely with partners in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Your role

As an International Senior Account Manager, you’ll have plenty of freedom to shape and grow your own market area. In this position, your main focus will be on retailers in the German-speaking market. You manage a set group of accounts, build new relationships and translate market developments into concrete actions. You are the main point of contact for customers and growers, work closely with colleagues from different disciplines and keep an overview of the entire process: from sourcing to sales.

In short, you will:

  • Manage your own accounts in a defined area (with a focus on the DACH region) and act as their main point of contact.
  • Acquire new relationships that fit the way we work.
  • Set your own pricing within the framework of our long-term strategy.
  • Be in daily contact with your partners through visits, calls, messages or presentations.
  • Monitor satisfaction and safeguard cooperation in a way that matches our way of working.
  • Keep a close eye on quality, availability and satisfaction within your accounts.
  • Actively contribute to our commercial strategy and the direction we want to grow in.
  • Translate market insights from the German-speaking market into plans that move us forward.
  • Ensure clear and accurate administration of agreements and contracts.
  • Work closely with colleagues from sourcing, quality and sales to keep the full process running smoothly.
  • Support quality-related topics within your accounts, such as MRL measurements, improvement projects with growers, packaging topics or the introduction of new products.

Who are we looking for?

  • Above all, we are looking for someone who stands firmly in their shoes and understands that relationships are at the core of everything we do. In addition, you:
  • Have 5–6 years of experience in the fresh produce or FMCG trade.
  • Have a higher professional education level (HBO+), preferably in Commercial Economics or a similar field.
  • Can communicate clearly at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Speak and write Dutch, English and German well – as you’ll be in daily contact with the German-speaking market.
  • Are analytical and quickly see what really matters and what doesn’t.
  • Build a network easily and are not afraid to open up new markets.
  • Are able to coach colleagues where needed.
  • Can switch smoothly between busy periods, figures, people and unexpected situations without losing your overview.
